Arizona Bach Festival 2012 - Erik Gustafson

 ERIK GUSTAFSON is thrilled to return to the Arizona Bach Festival, where he last performed the role of the Evangelist in the Christmas Oratorio for the Festival's inaugural season. During his time living in Phoenix, he sang for seven seasons with the Phoenix Chorale, including participation on two Grammy-winning recordings, as well as being featured as a tenor soloist with the American Bach ensemble under the direction of Scott Youngs for all seven seasons of its limited run, including performing the Evangelist for the St. John Passion and the St. Matthew Passion. He has also recorded with renowned chamber choir Conspirare, performed with the Oregon Bach Festival, and is currently affiliated with many other choral ensembles across the country, including Tucson Chamber Artists (Tucson, AZ), Abendmusik (Lincoln, NE), sounding light (Detroit, Ml), and Spire Chamber Ensemble (Kansas City, MO). Erik now resides in Queens, NY, and was recently on stage performing the role of Mr. Snow with Village Light Opera in Manhattan. He serves as chorister at Brick Presbyterian Church and performs as soloist and chorister with Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
